The medicine man was caught by the authorities of the palace. King Sukjong (Ji Jin Hee) is going to interrogate him to who is responsible for poisoning Queen Myeongseong (Park Jung Soo). The medicine man was crying but later on he told the King that it was Queen Inhyeon (Park Ha Sun) who told him. The King was shocked by what he has heard. All of the people who have witnessed it were also shocked. Meanwhile, Dong Yi (Han Hyo Joo) could not believe that the medicine man lied. He is putting the Queen at stake. King Sukjong felt weak. He did not know to who will he trust. One of the servants then rushed to Queen Inhyeon. She told her that the medicine man had said that she was the one who asked him to poison the Mother Queen. Queen Inhyeon did not react. She knows that those kind of thing would happen. Lady Jang would make a way to get out of trouble. Dong Yi, on the other hand, wanted to speak with lady Jang. She knows that the concubine of the King has anything to do with that. That night, King Sukjong had his silent moments with Dong Yi The king shared his worries about the current situation. King Sukjong then told Dong Yi that he feels at ease every time he is with her. Dong Yi then said that she would not forget what he had asked her to treat him like. Lady Jang had witnessed how happy King Sukjong when he is with the companionship of Dong Yi.
