The Montenegro family are already back in the Philippines. Margaret Montenegro (Helen Gamboa) bought a new house for them to have a new place to live. Johanna Montenegro (Melissa Ricks) is very happy to see the new place because she will surely have fun living there. Marco Montenegro also bought a surprise gift for Nathaniel Montenegro (Paolo Avelino), a new car. Marco (Richard Gomez) grew up as a versatile, intelligent yet immature young man who only learnt to straighten himself up after meeting Emily (Dawn Zulueta), the daughter of one of their workers. Later on, Nathan hurriedly went to see Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) at their house and surprised her. Katerina is very happy to see Nathan back home and wondered how she can tell about Daniel Valencia (Coco Martin). Despite having to stop schooling then, he grew up with pride and honor. He is a gentleman and very loving, especially to the woman he loves, to the point where he'll love her more than himself. He eventually continued his schooling with the help of William, the man he saved from an encounter with thieves, and intends to major in agriculture to help with the Alcantara's business. He has grown up with them as if he's part of the family.
