The Alcantara family slowly moved on after the death of William Alcantara (Joel Torre). William's right hand, Daniel Cruz (Coco Martin) had a conversation with Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) about what he promised to William. When William was still alive, Daniel promised to break up with Katerina, William's daughter, so that Katerina will continue her studies and become successful someday. Daniel and Katerina had a conversation about what Daniel promised to William wherein Katerina strongly disagreed. Katerina doesn't want to break up with Daniel because she loves him so much that she can't let go of their relationship. As much as Daniel tried to explain everything to Katerina, Katerina insisted that she don't want their relationship to end up. Later that day, an Attorney went for a visit with an information about William's last will testament. The Attorney then requested to have a meeting with Katerina and Tomas Alcantara (Joem Bascon) including Daniel. During the meeting, the Attorney revealed William's last will testament wherein he left seventy five percent of his properties to Katerina and the remaining twenty five percent to Daniel. Tomas was surprised that his father did not left anything for him and envied Daniel because of having twenty five percent of their property.
