The Montenegro family are very busy preparing for an elegant Dinner because Emilia "Emily" Cardenas/Guidonti (Dawn Zulueta) is coming. Leading the preparations, Johanna Montenegro (Melissa Ricks) is making sure that their preparations are perfect because she is very excited that her family will finally meet Emilia. Johanna even requested to serve the best wine they got to impress Emilia whom she thought is very high class. Meanwhile, Emilia is very nervous seeing the Montenegro family again. Emilia can not forget how the Montenegro family degraded her and her father who died a long time ago. Emilia blames the Montenegro family especially Marco Montenegro (Richard Gomez) whom she loved back then. Emilia wants to revenge against Marco and Margaret Cruz/Montenegro (Helen Gamboa) after they ruined Emilia's life. Emilia "Emily" Cardenas-Gidonti (Dawn Zulueta) is very eager to buy the properties of the Montenegro family. Emily wants to make her revenge against the Montenegro family unnoticed because she wants everybody to be surprised. Meanwhile, Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) envy the life of Johanna Montenegro (Melissa Ricks). Katerina had a conversation with Daniel Cruz (Coco Martin) wherein she shared how she envied Johanna having all the things she wants to have. Katerina missed the times that her father, William Alcantara (Joel Torre), bought her all the things that she wants. To ease Katerina's feelings, Daniel comforted Katerina telling her that they are going to work hard for them to reach their goal. Later on, Nathaniel "Nathan" Montenegro (Paolo Avelino) arrived, inviting Katerina for a date. The Alcantara family slowly moved on after the death of William Alcantara (Joel Torre). William's right hand, Daniel Cruz (Coco Martin) had a conversation with Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) about what he promised to William. When William was still alive, Daniel promised to break up with Katerina, William's daughter, so that Katerina will continue her studies and become successful someday. Daniel and Katerina had a conversation about what Daniel promised to William wherein Katerina strongly disagreed. Katerina doesn't want to break up with Daniel because she loves him so much that she can't let go of their relationship. As much as Daniel tried to explain everything to Katerina, Katerina insisted that she don't want their relationship to end up. Later that day, an Attorney went for a visit with an information about William's last will testament. The Attorney then requested to have a meeting with Katerina and Tomas Alcantara (Joem Bascon) including Daniel. During the meeting, the Attorney revealed William's last will testament wherein he left seventy five percent of his properties to Katerina and the remaining twenty five percent to Daniel. Tomas was surprised that his father did not left anything for him and envied Daniel because of having twenty five percent of their property. The two sisters finally meet again at the funeral service of William Alcantara (Joel Torre). Margaret Cruz/Montenegro (Helen Gamboa) is surprised to see Virginia Cruz (Susan Roces) working as a servant at the Alcantara family. Margaret can not believe that after long years, she gets to meet her sister whom she believed is her enemy. Margaret kept asking questions to Virginia about where she lived before and why she worked at the Alcantara family but Virginia did not gave her the complete information. Later on, Marco approached Virginia, who is very glad to see her back. Marco never thought that the Montenegro family will still see Virginia who was away from them for a long time. Meanwhile, Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) was also very shock knowing that Virginia and the Montenegro family are related to each other. On the other hand, Tomas Alcantara (Joem Bascon) feels the power he will soon have as the owner of the Alcantara Hacienda. Tomas have a lot of plans for their property in which he wants to sell some part of their Hacienda so that he will continue gambling. Katerina, Tomas sister, knew about what Tomas planned to wherein she strongly disagreed that Tomas will run their business. The Alcantara family grieved to William's sudden death. William Alcantara (Joel Torre) died because of heart failure after he saw Tomas Alcantara (Joem Bascon) stole some of their properties. Recently, many of William's friends and relatives came to their house for his funeral service. Meanwhile, Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) thanked everybody who came at her father's funeral service, showing their sympathy. On the other hand, Tomas rather chose being alone than to mingle with the people at the funeral service. Tomas blames Daniel Valencia (Coco Martin) of his father's death because he believed that Daniel is the last person that William had a conversation with before he died. Even though the Alcantara family have a lot of visitors, Tomas left the Alcantara mansion to see the man whom he have debts. When Tomas is already on his way, Katerina tried to stop him so that they can manage the people at their father's funeral service. On the other hand, Virginia Cruz (Susan Roces) is very worried that the Montenegro family are there at William's funeral service. The relationship of Daniel Valencia (Coco Martin) and Katerina Alcantara (Julia Montes) is already revealed resulting to William Alcantara's (Joel Torre) disappointments. William is very disappointed and mad at Daniel because he trusted Daniel with everything especially looking after Katerina. A few days after, William and Daniel had a conversation wherein William is trying to let Daniel understand why he was mad at him. Daniel realized that he should end up his relationship with Katerina so that he can still stay at the Alcantara mansion. William gave his counsel to Daniel, telling him that he should break up with Katerina and give themselves some time. On the other hand, Marco Montenegro (Richard Gomez) is very worried about Johanna Montenegro (Melissa Ricks). Marco once told his wife, Jane Bonifacio/Montenegro (Rita Avila) that they must tell Johanna about her real identity already. Johanna is Jane's sister from another mother without informing Margaret Montenegro (Helen Gamboa).
